1. Visiting Professorship
- Terms – minimum of 1 month.
- Support –from National Science and Technology Council in Taiwan.
- On-campus guest house, 1 or 2 bedroom, depending on availability.
- Please allow 1-2 months for processing.
2. Postdoctoral Positions
- Terms – ≧ 2-year term preferred.
- Support – from National Science and Technology Council in Taiwan.
~ US$26.5-39K/year. (living cost in Taiwan, including housing,
< US$600/month). salary supplement (4-14 K/year) is possible,
depending on qualification.

- Possible research fields (please refer to the web pages on research).
- Time-resolved step-scan FTIR (emission or absorption)
- Matrix-isolation using p-H2 (IR or UV/VIS)
- Quantum cascade laser spectroscopy and kinetics (IR region)
- IR-UV double resonance/ionization
- Ultrafast dynamics of materials for solar cells
- Please arrange 2-3 letters of recommendation (including the Ph.D. thesis adviser).
- Please allow 1-2 months for processing.
3. Ph.D. Student Fellowship
- We provide fellowship, but no travel expenses.
- Please refer to Office of International Affairs, NYCU for application procedures.
- Fellowship for the first year: ~US$666-1000/month depending on qualification; after the first year: ~US$1333/month.

4. Internship
- We welcome undergraduate or graduate students to come for an internship.
- Stay of 3 months or more is preferred.
5. Tax information
- Foreigners are subject to 18% tax.
- If a foreigner stays in Taiwan for more than 183 days in a calendar year, he is eligible for resident tax (~5% for postdoctor).
